About & Data Source

Important disclaimer

This site displays public Labor Condition Application (LCA) disclosure data only. LCA records are not visa approvals and do not represent actual employees, confirmed hires, or every foreign worker hired by a company. A Certified case status means the U.S. Department of Labor certified the LCA; it does not mean USCIS approved an H-1B petition, that a visa was issued, or that employment began.

What is an LCA?

A Labor Condition Application is a filing employers submit to the U.S. Department of Labor before certain temporary foreign worker petitions, including H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 programs. DOL reviews LCAs separately from USCIS H-1B petitions.

How salary summaries work

Salary summaries use wage_from, the lower bound of the offered base wage range. They include only annual wage records where wage_unit is Year, exclude Hour records, and do not use wage_to in min, max, or average calculations.

Data source

This prototype uses public disclosure columns from the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) LCA/H-1B disclosure data. The current database contains a small sample dataset for testing, not the full public dataset.
